2D1N Sepilok & Kinabatangan River – EB-SDK07

Itinerary Day 1 Meet on arrival at Sandakan Airport or at Hotel Lobby. Proceed to the world famous Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre, journey will take approximately 30 minutes. On arrival, register at the reception counter and proceed to the Platform A to observe the daily 1000 hrs feeding of the Orang Utan. After witnessing the feeding, proceed to the reception centre for a 30 min video show on the centre. Depart Sepilok Orang Utan Centre to Sukau Village, journey will take approximately 2 1/2 hours. On arrival, board boat for a 5 minute transfer to the river lodge. Check in and lunch will be served at the main hall. Board river boat for boat cruise along the Kinabatangan river to search for the elusive Proboscis Monkeys and other wildlife. Return to the lodge in the late evening. Dinner and overnight at the lodge. ( Lunch & Dinner ) Day 2 After breakfast, depart for Sandakan Town, enroute stop at the Gomantong Cave. Trek to the Cave entrance of Simud Hitam. 2D1N Kinabatangan & Ox-bow Lake – EB-SDK06

Day 1 Meet on arrival at Sandakan Airport or at Hotel Lobby. Depart for Gomantong Caves, journey will take approximately 2 hrs passing by Oil Palm plantations and villages. On arrival, take a 10 minute walk to the cave entrance of Simud Hitam. Explore these magnificent limestone caves, home to millions of bats and swiflet birds. During the collection of the edible bird nest, there will be a lot of workers climbing long rattan ladders to collect the expensive nest. After exploring the caves, depart to the village of Sukau by the banks of the Kinabatangan River, the longest river in Sabah. Board boat for a 5 minute transfer to the River Lodge. On arrival, check in & lunch at the main hall. Depart for boat cruise along the Kinabatangan river to search for the odd nose monkeys of Borneo - the Proboscis Monkeys and other wildlife. Return to the river lodge for dinner. Overnight at the river lodge by the banks of the Kinabatangan River. Turtle Island Park 1D/1N – EB-SDK05

Day 1 Meet on arrival at Sandakan Airport or at Hotel Lobby.Depart for for Sandakan Town, free at leisure. Meet at designated point and transfer to jetty to board boat for transfer to Selingaan Turtle Island. Journey will be approximately 1 hr. Upon arrival, register at the reception and check in to the chalet. Free at leisure. Lunch at the cafeteria; Free at leisure. Meet at the cafeteria for dinner, whilst waiting for the park ranger to signal for turtle watching. Overnight at the Chalet. Observe the whole activity of the turtle laying eggs and covering the hole, tagging of the turtle by the park ranger and the transferring of the eggs to the hatchery. If there are young turtle hatchlings, an opportunity to observe the hatchlings being release to the sea. Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre: A Half-Day Excursion to Visit the Orangutans of Borneo Sample Itinerary for Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre Tour Meet upon arrival at Sandakan Airport or at Hotel lobby. Proceed to the world famous Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre for a unique Wildlife Tour. The journey overland will take approximately 30 minutes. On arrival, register at the reception counter. Firstly, proceed for a 30 min video show on the Centre. The Centre was founded in 1964, to rehabilitate orphaned baby orangutans - most rescued from logging sites/plantations because of illegal hunting or illegal pet trade. Proceed to the platform to observe the daily feeding of the Orang Utan (time: 1000 hrs & 1500 hrs). In addition, you can visit the nursery area where the younger Orang Utans first learn to be outside and play on a large climbing frame.
