Libyans renew offer to help in American's release
MANILA (ABS-CBN) - A Libyan foundation has expressed its
willingness to help secure the release of the American hostage Jeffrey Schilling , Libyan
Ambassador Salem Adam said on Wednesday.
However, the envoy said the Ghadafi International Charity
Foundation would first seek the approval of Manila before it could start negotiations.
"Yes. the foundation will have to seek the Philippine
government 's go signal. It will be a purely humanitarian mission of the foundation but we
will consult the government of the Philippines," Adam said.
For his part, Libyan negotiator Rajab Azzarouq said the
foundation are ordained by their religion to help Muslims.
