Take a Half-Day Island Escapade to TAR Marine Park

The Tunku Abdul Rahman (TAR) Marine Park – Malaysia’s first marine national park – is a cluster of islands – Pulau Gaya, Pulau Sapi, Pulau Manukan, Pulau Mamutik and Pulau Sulug (note: Pulau = Island in Malay)

Itinerary for TAR Marine Park

9.45 hr
Meet at hotel lobby and proceed to jetty in downtown Kota Kinabalu.
On arrival at jetty, board boat for a 20 minute ride to the beautiful Sapi Island off the City of Kota Kinabalu.
En route, a brief stopover at the picturesque Manukan island.
Manukan is the second largest island in the TAR Marine Park and most popular for tourists and locals.
Arrive at Sapi Island.

10.20 hr
Free to swim or snorkel or just laze around the beach, soaking the tropical sun.
Alternatively, there are also trails for a short nature walk.
Other optional activities on this island are Banana Boat Rides, Para Sailing, Canoeing and Windsurfing.

12.30 hr
Lunch will be served by the beach.
After lunch, free at own leisure.

14.30 hr
Depart from Sapi Island for Kota Kinabalu mainland.

14.50 hr
Arrive at jetty in Kota Kinabalu and transfer to hotel.
End of tour.
