Brief Description of
Itinerary
The
tour will depart Miri to Lambir National Park with a 30 minutes drive which passes the
greeny countryside. After registration at the Park Headquarters, visitors will proceed
with a 15 minutes walk. Along the way, you will see untouched flora and fauna. Recent
studies suggest that Lambir Hills has the greatest level of plant biodiversity in the
world. A 40-meters tree tower provides excellent view of forest canopy. Lambir Hills is
also dotted with attractive waterfalls, which are at their best after a rainfall. Enjoy
yourself by taking a dip at the pool or relax.
Then
proceed to Iban Longhouse. Explore the longhouse, a unique Architecture
bonding communal lifestyle. The Ibans are the single largest tribe in Sarawak and they
traditionally live in longhouse which are actually a number of rooms linked together but
sharing a common ruai - a verandah where traditional ceremonies are performed.
