Welcome to Editor's Test Page

Thank you for your keen interest to be one of e-borneo.com's free-lance editor. This page is set up as a testing and 'trial-and-error' section for you to try out our editorial script and learn more how it works before you launch your own editorial page/column. Please feel free to post, edit, delete, and check the easy 'News Publisher' script here.

STEP 1:

Click Here to log onto News Publisher - a new window will be opened for your convenience - using the name: test and password: testing (once you have been approved as an editor, you will be assigned your own username and password of your choice).

STEP 2:

Once logged in, you will see a menu drop-down window near the top of the page, where you can select option to 'view all stories', 'add new story' 'edit info', 'update new files' or 'signout'. You

STEP 3:

To add story, simply select 'add new story' and click on the select button.

STEP 4:

Then select your category - in this case, the category name is 'Test'. Once you have been approved, you will see your category or categories.

STEP 5:

Add in your 'subject' header and 'news story' in the appropriate boxes provided. If you know some basic HTML, you can add appropriate codes to make your story more attractive. You can also add images, provided that the images reside in your own server (we strongly prohibit editors to link images from other website without prior written consent as this constitutes 'stealing of bandwidth' and will result in editor's account being terminated immediately).

STEP 6:

'Enable source' is optional. If the story, editorial or news is written by you, you do not have to enable the source. This function is only for stories that you may have extracted from another source.

STEP 7:

Once finished, you can either clicik on 'preview story', 'submit' or 'reset' button.

STEP 8:

That's about it after that. You can then view back your posting or 'sign out' (we advice editors to sign off after each session for your own account's security).
